- Ensure the load is fully supported in the bowl of the hook not on the tip
- Avoid snatch or sudden loads
- Have your chains inspected at regular intervals
- Periodical lubrication of the chains is a must
- Don't overload, or jerk a chain
- Don't hammer a chain to strengthen a link
- Don't drop the chain from a height, or knot it
- Don't heat treat chains. It could be dangerous and affect the performance.
